Our Story

A venue was found (Springfield Farm) in St Albans with 2 ready made stages so that's where it all kicked off again! The venue was booked, flyer created, tickets purchased by the most amazing crowd of fun seekers and it was a bloody briliant day. Sun shining, dancing and socailly distanced High Fives and pod swapping. 3 weeks later we threw another festival and 2 more very cold ones in December also at Springfield.

We also joined up with our great mates from Housework, Slip Back in Time and Luvism to collectively put on an amazing 1 day festival back at Springfield Farm which was the Rise Up Festival.

Check out the events page for more details on past and current events

Dirty Stereo was born 2007 whilst the main Carl was working in Clerkenwell  as a graphic designer. Events were thrown in various bars on Friday nights after work for the local hipsters.

They were always free events with the music back then as it is now centering around House and Tech music with a smattering of other genres thrown in to keep the crowd guessing. Trance & Nu Skool Breaks being particular favourites.

The parties came to an end when children came along and starting a new business locally in St Albans.

Fast forward to 2020 with Covid and no parties being thrown. Bordeom set in. Facebook Lives were all well and good but nothing could beat dancing in a field with a few hundred like minded lunatics.
